Hay Festival

The Hay festival brings together writers, thinkers, performers, and audiences for an immersive cultural experience. Famously described it as the “Woodstock of the mind”, the festival features over 600 events, including author talks, panel discussions, debates, readings, and performances, making it a pivotal platform for intellectual and creative exchange.

The organizers say:

Hay Festival Global is a charity working in the UK, and internationally, to bring together diverse voices from the worlds of art, literature, science, humanities, politics, music and comedy to listen, talk, debate and create, tackling some of the biggest political, social and environmental challenges of our time.

We aim to make these experiences accessible and available to all.

We support writers and artists, inspire the next generation of writers and readers and create an environment where nuanced debate and meaningful collaboration can happen.

These conversations become a creative catalyst for change. For a better world.
