The All Things Fungi Festival is the UK’s first dedicated mushroom festival. Set in the beautiful Chiddinglye Estate in West Sussex, this unique festival offers a three-day immersive experience celebrating the fascinating world of fungi. Attendees can explore mushroom identification, cultivation, and scientific aspects through lectures, workshops, and UV nightwalks. The festival also features art exhibitions, live music, and culinary delights centered around fungi.
The organizers say:
“This eco-conscious event will be educational and community-oriented involving local and national fungi groups. Using Fungi as the focus we hope to inspire and re connect people with nature. The festival aims to cover Mushroom identification, cultivation, microscopy, DNA sequencing and topics surrounding the soil food web, composting, permaculture & and rewilding.
Each day will start with a variety of wellness events, from yoga to gong baths. After a day packed full of nature based activities, we’ll relax with live music and entertainment by the fire or at the secret woodland stage, or go and explore the fluorescent forest with UV torches. Look for bats and listen for owls or simply appreciate the dark skies. Whether you’re new to fungi or an experienced mycologist there will be something for everyone.”
